Terms & Conditions

CS Electrical CQ Terms and Conditions of Quotation and Service 

These Terms and Conditions apply to all works, quotes & invoices issued or performed by CS Electrical CQ.

1. Acceptance of Quote & Works to be Completed 

By accepting a quote or agreeing to works to be commenced, either verbally or in writing, you agree to the terms outlined below. Acceptance includes the commencement of any work based on the quoted services. 

2. Validity 

Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. After this period, prices and availability are subject to change. 

3. Payment Terms 

Full payment is due within 7 days of completion of works unless otherwise agreed in writing. 
A deposit of 50% may be required before commencement of work (unless otherwise stated), with balance due on completion of works. 
Overdue payments may be subject to interest at a rate of 5% per month, and recovery costs where applicable. 
If no payment is received within 30 days of the invoice sent, your account may be sent to a debt collector. Any fees involved with the debt collector process will be at your expense. 

4. Ownership of Materials 

All materials, fittings, and installed components remain the property of CS Electrical CQ until full payment has been received. 
We reserve the right to remove any unpaid materials or components, where safe and legal to do so, in the event of non-payment. 
Any damage caused by unauthorized removal of our materials or tampering may be pursued for compensation. 

5. Access and Site Conditions 

The client must ensure safe and reasonable access to the site for the duration of the works including the removal of furniture etc that may impede a safe work environment. . 

All pets must be restrained for the entire duration of the works. 
Delays, damage or additional costs arising from restricted access, unnotified hazards, or unforeseen site conditions may incur additional charges. 

6. Variations and Additional Work 

Any variations or additional work not listed in the original quote will be charged separately.  

7. Warranties 

We provide a 5 year warranty on workmanship from the date of completion. 
Manufacturer warranties apply to supplied materials where applicable. 
Warranty is voided in cases of misuse, unauthorized modification, or third-party interference. 

8. Liability 

CS Electrical CQ shall not be liable for: 
Any indirect or consequential losses; 
Delays due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., weather, supplier issues); 
Damage to existing property unless caused by proven negligence. 

9. Cancellation

To ensure efficient scheduling and minimise disruption to other clients, we require adequate notice for any changes to confirmed bookings.

Cancellations or requests to reschedule made with less than 24 hours’ notice prior to the scheduled attendance time will incur a $250 late cancellation fee.

If our technicians attend site and are unable to commence or complete the scheduled works due to any of the following, the same $250 service call/cancellation fee will apply:

  • No access provided to the property at the agreed time

  • The responsible person is not present (where required)

  • The work area is not cleared or safe for work to proceed

  • Required services (e.g. power, approvals, or site access) are not available

  • Any other circumstance not previously disclosed that prevents works from proceeding

It is the client’s responsibility to ensure the site is ready, safe, and accessible at the scheduled time. If works are delayed or prevented due to site conditions or lack of access, additional charges may also apply for return visits, extended labour time, or rescheduling.

This fee covers technician time, travel, and the administrative and scheduling impacts associated with short-notice changes or failed attendances.


10. Governing Law 

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, and any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of its courts.
